![]() Well, it's Monday. And that sucks. I, for the love of JC, can't wake up today. I've popped open a mini-dew in hopes of having some energy or motivation. This weekend was the best, people. Thursday, me and Brian and Joe went to see Anberlin and Emery play in a basement in some ghetto omaha location. We ate some cheesesteak sandwiches (so sick) and then watched this concert for like six hours while it poured outside. It was seriously so great. Friday night, me and Brian spent too many hours pimping Brian's new myspace page. (view it here) Please be his friend. He's secretly so excited to be a myspacer. On Saturday, I slept an illegal amount of hours. After I became conscious, we got dressed and went to Regency Court to try out Paradise Bakery for I swear the most tastiest lunch ever created. It was so good. And every meal comes with a free steaming hot chocolate chip cookie! My kind of place. We also got my rings cleaned and we were on our merry way. Next, we drove down to the old market. We went to a scary antique store by a bus stop that you had to ring the door bell and have permission from this emo dude to enter. It was dark and we left quick. We walked around the other shops, I purchased a huge amount of new stationery, cards, and wrapping paper for my bulletin boards. Meliss, you would be PROUD. We also stopped to have a glass of wine at the cutest little market ever created ever. We then went to the record store and another antique store where I purchased an awesome little 1950's book about home decoration and the sweetest tall candy jar for my colored pencils! It was a great day. On Sunday, our dear Jana got home from Scottsdale, so we picked her up and all had dinner at Roja. Delish as usual, we laughed a lot and trapsed around a Walgreens. No work Friday. Thursday night we leave for OkieHomey. We're celebrating Easter with Jana's fam. Don't worry, I will be documenting this trip with camera in hand and blog in mind. PS.. I'm tan now.

Hey party people..
So sorry I've been missing, actually, I've probably been barfing and/or not pooping solidly, if you know what I mean. Yeah, I had to go and catch the flu last week. Hence, I had to miss the Head Automatica concert in Lincoln, and thus, missing my trip to OP to ship the May issue of Electronic Musician (and i missed big Mont and Liz). But, I'm as strong as two men now, so all is well. I need to get into a better blog pattern for the sake of my loyal readers. I'm gonna make a real effort to blog everyday for you people, but, when you sit at home all day picking your nose, there is nothing to talk about except the occasional really good granola bar or thunderstorm. Last weekend, Brian planned us a "Family Fun Day" and we went out and did all of my favorite things. We ate at Red Robin (5 alarm burger), went purse hunting, I got a new Razr to replace the piece that decided to take 50 minutes to do something after I pressed a button, went to Village point for shopping (denied of favorite print I so wanted to purchase), ate fa-jai-tas at Roja (best place ever, hands down, bar none), and then snuggled up in bed with the windows open. It seriously ruled hardcore. I'm trying to think of something outstanding that has happened to me lately, but I'm kind of fresh out. This past weekend was totally nice. I wore a brand new bra and it made my life. On Friday, Brian and I rented the Chumscrubbers and watched that. (Montie, we need to discuss the heavy symbolism!) I'd have to say, it was a really weird one, but totally now one of me and Brian's favorites. So many famous actors, so much meaning, and someone gets their eyeball slashed. On Saturday, we made fresh cinnamon buns (I put butter on mine and Brian thinks that is weird), then we really took it to the house. Jana came over later and before either of us knew it, WE WERE IN MY CLOSET. Let me just postface this by saying that Jana rules, majorly. With her Gap experience, combined with her severe OCD, my closet was getting a makeover, folks. WOW. I don't have a before picture, but I had crap smushed in every corner. I didn't know what I had, and I didn't know where to put it. We literally took every single thing out and put it back in cleaner than all heck. Seriously, I bought her dinner for helping me achieve closet glory: ![]() ![]() We proceeded to hit up Sonic where I murdered a cherry limeade, then we went to Jeanne Marie where we took full advantage of the 20% off sale. We talked to our ladies for a bit and then I purchased the following sweet pieces of goodness: ![]() ![]() Then, me and Brian and Jan-star tried out this place called Taxi. It ruled, and then we went over to Jana's where I got attacked by the death cat and Brian had too much wine. Later that night, the time change really screwed me up. Brian's on official business in Excelsior Springs (ha!) so I'm keeping it cool in the northland. Today, I officially purchased my new purse. I'm really excited, so if any of you nay-sayers comment with any negative words regarding my satchel, I'll slice your throat and grab your scroat. ![]() Also, I dropped by the Barn tonight. Hadn't been in awhile. I love it though. I found some things that I'm thinking about putting in those tall glass containers. Also found some things at Michaels, and oops, the best smelling candle in the universe and a cool new wire basket! ![]() Tonight I'm gonna sit down and watch "In her shoes" with Cammie Diaz. But first, the tuna needs to be made and the jalapeno chips need to be sampled. Toodles. (today is our ten month anniversary!) |
